Before we shoot a single frame, we talk, about your story, what you'd want to see again in thirty years, the moments worth slowing down for. Then I build the film around those.

The Filmmaker

Hi, I'm Chance.

I've been making films since 2010. I've shot weddings on cliff edges in Big Sur, on ranches in South Dakota, along the coast in Florida, and in the backyard of a grandmother's house in Oklahoma. The location changes. The thing that matters doesn't.

I built Visionary Media because I got tired of seeing wedding films that prioritized aesthetic over feeling. Beautiful, yes, but interchangeable. The film I want to make for you is the one where, twenty years from now, you can't watch it without crying.

I take a small, intentional number of weddings each year. If you want to talk, I'd love to hear your story.

Discovery Call

A 30-minute video call. We talk about your story, your day, the moments you care most about capturing. No pressure.

The Day

I arrive early. I move quietly. I stay close to you and your people. You forget I'm there, and that's exactly the point.

Delivery

A 60-second teaser within two weeks. Your full film within 8–12 weeks, delivered in a private gallery and on a custom heirloom drive.

I focus exclusively on film, which is what lets me deliver work at this level. That said, I work alongside photographers constantly and have a short list of OC and destination photographers I genuinely love, happy to make introductions if you're still looking.

Most couples book 9–14 months out. I cap each year at twelve weddings, and peak weekends (May–October in California, holidays for destinations) fill first. If your date is closer, ask anyway, sometimes things open up.

Yes, about half my weddings each year are destinations. There are no travel fees for anywhere in California. For everywhere else, travel is billed at cost (flights, lodging, transport) with no markup. I'll always quote it upfront.

A 60-second social teaser within two weeks of your wedding. The full feature film within 8–12 weeks. I take editing seriously and won't rush it, but I also know how badly you want to see it, so I keep you updated throughout.

My style is documentary-led and cinematic. The day belongs to you, I am there to capture it, not direct it. The only "posed" footage you'll see is during the time your photographer is already shooting portraits. Everything else is real.

Yes, within licensing constraints. I score films from a curated library of cinematic, licensed music, and you'll have full input on direction. If there's a specific song that matters to you, we'll talk about how to honor it (sometimes via licensing, sometimes via the closest cinematic match).

A 30% retainer secures your date. The remainder is split into two payments, one at the halfway mark before your wedding, and the final balance two weeks before the day. Happy to discuss custom schedules.
